Re-Purpose: The Carnegie Multi Media Show

Re-Purpose is an event/show from multi-media artists Holly Dodge, Nicholas Smith (I Cut People), and Todd M Huber (Ellipse Elkshow) at the Carnegie Arts Center in Mankato, Minnesota. The show explores the translations, alterations, and surprises that emerge from previously used materials and messages when they are reworked, rearranged, and reframed within a new context and for/with a new purpose. The collected works of the three artists range from traditional paper collage to repurposed mass-produced department store wall-art, from found materials and tools to miniature assemblages of found sound, video, and late-capitalist (anthropocene) iconography. The show opens at 5pm with live audio by Nicholas and Todd on October 9th and will hang in the Rotunda Gallery until the 24th of October.
